KOTA KINABALU: Deputy Health Minister Datuk Rosnah Hj Abd Rashid Shirlin were among one of the 10 individuals to receive The Outstanding Young Person of Sabah 2009 (TOYPS) Awards organised by JCI Kota Kinabalu at resort here on Saturday night.
The award is to recognise to the contribution made by young Sabahans below 40 years-old in various fields of progress or welfare for the benefit of the community. The ceremony comprised 10 award categories.
And apart from Rosnah and the other award recipients are Gary Chaw Pak Haw in the Cultural and Artistic Achievement category; Tan Kar Leong (Business, Economic or Entrepreneurial Accomplishment); Dr Roland Chia Ming Shen (Humanitarian and Voluntary Services); Ben Leong (Personal Improvement and Accomplishment): Kevin Loo Seng Pung (Moral and Religious Leadership); Calvin Tang Kiat Chung (Scientific and Technological Development); Steven Liau Chee Kok (Contribution to Children, World Peace, Nature or Human Rights); Stacie Angie Anam @ Stacie (Cultural and Artistic Achievement); and Mak Ching Hsia (Academic, Leadership and Accomplishment).
